The PSP is one of the platform you can use for portable entertainment. Yet, in some ways it is no way portable anymore. Why? Well, in order to operate the game system, you absolutely use a UMD, the main medium for storing PSP games and movies. Granted, UMD are so small, but they are not small if you have got many of them. In fact, if you have too many of them, you’ll have to bring a big case according to how many games you have.

Fortunately, there are alternative solutions. Assuming you have got a memory card, you can download games to your PSP. After doing this, you’ll be able to run PSP games or movies right from the unit it self. When you download games to your PSP, you can do away with UMDs forever!

So what do you have to do to download games to your PSP? The answer to this question can be found through two websites: PSP Blender and PSP Nerd. For a small fee, each of these resources will allow you to download PSP games and movies quickly and easily. They will also explain in detail how you can transfer these files onto the device.

Of course, if you don’t have enough money to use both sites, you’re going to have to decide which one is a better fit for your situation. Look at the sections below to get a better understanding of how these resources differ from one another when it comes to downloading PSP games.

1. PSP Blender

PSP blender possesses a very generous collection of PSP games and movies. In fact, PSP aficionados believe that PSP Blender contains the most PSP files anywhere online. This includes miscellaneous files, such as MP3s, television shows, online magazines, demos and game cheats.

You can also use PSP Blender to convert regular DVDs into PSP format. This means you won’t have to be limited to watching movies that are already on UMD. Such a feature is extremely advantageous, since there aren’t as many UMD movies on the market right now.

Finally, PSP blender provides full technical support should you get stuck when trying to download games to your PSP. This includes online chat and a toll-free technical support number.

2. PSP Nerd

PSP Nerd also has a very large selection of PSP games and movies. It is also growing in popularity, even if it doesn’t have the PR that PSP Blender currently has.

Most importantly, PSP Nerd has more in-depth tutorials explaining how to download games to your PSP. In fact, unlike PSP Blender, PSP Nerd actually has video tutorials explaining what to do. This is a great way for beginners to fully understand the process associated with downloading PSP games and movies.

It should also be noted that PSP Nerd also provides PSP software emulators.

And likewise all of our speculations and cravings will be answer yet by June, with probable Sony unveiling their new redesigned PSP at this years E3 conference.

The rumored updates are mainly tagged by speculations to be PSP 2 and PSP-4000, but according to 1UP’s sources Sony will settle on subtitle than a numerical moniker. PSP Slide, PSP Flip, and PSP Go! are few of the rumored codenames for the said project with a big possibilities on Sony settling on PSP Go! with its previous release of PSP add-ons with branding of Go!(the Go!View video on-demand service and 1.3 megapixel Go!Cam). Apparently, control design will remain the same as the current control with no addition of a rumored another analog stick.

You can throw anything to the Sony Playstation Portable and chances are its going to play. But what are Sony Playstation Portable features? Is it worth its price? These are some of the main features available on the Sony playstation Portable

Gaming is what Sony Playstation Portable is all about. The large screen measuring 4.3” inch wide screen give ample view of the games you play with crisp 16.77 millioin colors. In other word, the screen of your Playstation Portable is as big as the whole iPod! For a handheld gaming console, the PSP crisp display is a sight to behold, no pun intended.

If you have been following the progress of the PSP, you must have heard about PSP homebrew. The first time I heard of PSP Homebrew I thought it was some illegal home made concoction. Well, you are not far off. The PSP homebrew is an independent software made to run on the PSP. It allows PSP to emulate other gaming console. Even though this is not a standard feature for the PSP, it definitely gave the PSP a huge boost in its sale. Imagine being able to replay your old sega megadrive games on your PSP or Super Mario Bros!

MP3 playability is another big plus for the PSP. Even though the feature on the PSP is a tad limited with regard to MP3 playing functionality, it makes up with the easy downloading of your mp3 files onto PSP via USB connection.

How about watching movies on your PSP while you are on the road or taking a trip by plane? You can either watch the movie via the small & portable UMD disc or by downloading onto your memory stick. There are utility available for converting your favorite DVD into PSP recognizable files. All you have to do is rip the DVD onto your computer, run the software (provided by Sony) and download onto your memory stick.

The thing about sony memory stick is that it is quite expensive, but it is well worth its price. You can store your favorite movies, music and games all in one memory stick. That is why I always recommends PSP user to get the memory stick with the biggest capacity. In the PSP case, bigger is always better.

In short this is what Sony PSP features are: ability to play games, music, movies, surf the internet and if you are really adventurous listen to radio. There are also huge resources on the internet that offer you huge database of downloadable files.

The internet is rife with the so called PSP download sites. Some are better than others but they do have one thing in common; they allow PSP user to enjoy latest games, movies, tv-shows, music at a very minimal cost. In fact all you have to fork out is the lifetime membership. After downloading a few games the cost of the membership basically pays itself off. The catch is in finding the best site.

If you ask me what is the best Sony PSP features? It must be its flexibility to be able to play huge selection of video files, music files and not to mention its gaming titles. It is a jack of all trades, but in the PSP case, it’s master of all.
